Trump Invites Families of Shot National Guard Soldiers to the White House

Former President Trump stated on Sunday that he has asked the family of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “heartbroken”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on Wednesday in DC.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in serious condition.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump addressed reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Public Reaction

Community members came together over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid policing efforts in the capital.

Remembering the Soldier

“She was the individual that teachers wished for. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the media. “She was sweet, caring and always willing to assist people.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of homicide and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

The event prompted the administration to halt asylum applications and temporarily stop issuing visas to possessors of travel documents.

Andrew Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, according to the news agency.
