The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a adored, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced this week that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. The role has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the initial comic and animated series.
The new cast member is joined by several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to reality, including head the main antagonist, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
