Los Angeles experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the victory.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto said. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a cooler reception at the rally. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter taking the stage to a combination of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
