JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not entirely an original movie. Rather, the latest movie from the JuJutsu Kaisen supernatural series serves as a collection of the show's sophomore season stitched together with the initial episodes of its next season, which launches the Culling Games arc from the manga series. This establishes Execution, which recently received a new trailer, the earliest way to view the start of the forthcoming season ahead of its 2026 January debut. The movie premieres in Japan on Nov. 7, and in North America on Dec. 5.

The Culling Games Arc

In the Culling Games storyline, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu finally joins the anime series and is tasked by sorcery authorities to eliminate his fellow student Yuji Itadori. Their long-awaited clash takes place for the first time on the cinema screen, and if the animators at Mappa have a treat as episodes 40 and 41 in store for fans this festive season, JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution may prove to be the present that fans have anticipated.

The Thunderclap Issue

"The Thunderclap sequence" from season 2 is frequently praised as among the best moments in animated series lore, in spite of the significant debate in 2023 when the episodes first debuted.
